Prior to joining Diva, Rob headed a series of creative businesses, specialising in 3D, Motion and VFX, during which time he supported the team at Diva with a number of projects. Throughout the pandemic he also set up and ran a cutting edge virtual production studio.
Most recently, Rob’s role as studio director at GDS Group, saw him managing a large team of 25 multi-skilled creatives. His mix of entrepreneurship, hands-on creative expertise, and passion for new creative technologies, and love of games makes him a perfect fit to lead the creative team at Diva into the future.
Suzy Barnes, Diva’s Founder and CEO said, “We’re thrilled to welcome Rob to the Executive leadership team at Diva. His appointment will reignite the touchpaper of our creative potential - fostering and developing the immense talent that we have in the studio, and supporting them to create ever more ground breaking campaigns for our world class client base.”
Earlier this year, the agency launched its Dutch-based European HQ, headed up by PR & Comms Director, Rick Sloof, - and appointed Libby Walker to the role of Client Services Director, to oversee client relationships within the agency’s Creative and Production service lines.
Rob concluded by saying:
“It's all to play for in 2025. There's been a lot of industry change in the past two years. But with that comes an opportunity to rethink the work we do and where our value truly lies.
“If 2024 was about dealing with the changes, and adapting. 2025 is about capitalising on what we've learned. I want us to be bold with our ideas, combine our incredible mix of skills from across the teams and push into new areas with some very high quality work.
“Next year, I think we’ll see the AI hype bubble bursting, authentic content trending, and of course more crossover marketing between games and brands. I can’t wait to get started!”
