WASD’s inaugural outing in April 2022 marked the long-awaited return of live events for the UK games industry after two years of pandemic-induced silence. Naturally, Roucan wanted their event to go off with an almighty bang and Diva were enlisted to ensure just that.

BRAND AND DELIVER

A brand new event needs a brand new brand. But that was just the beginning. Diva not only created a playful, recognisable logo, but also digital display banners and web and social media assets. We even worked up distinctive signage and hoardings for the event itself, which were integral to establishing its profile.

COMMUNITY SERVICE

In addition to design responsibilities, Diva took the reins of WASD’s social channels, managing posts and updates throughout the event. We also helped cultivate an informal, friendly tone of communication, which resonated with the wider gaming community.

LIGHTS, CAMERA…

A two day film shoot saw the Diva team interviewing developers and key influencers within gaming, talking to the public and B-roll filming. We also created intros, outros and lower thirds for all WASD video content and edited sizzle reels and interview content.

OUR NAME UP IN LIGHTS

Away from our creative input, Diva were really proud to host the opening night’s industry mixer event, which saw devs, publishers, PRs and countless others come together for an evening of networking and celebration. It was also a much-needed get together after such a long time apart.

IT WAS(D) THE BEST OF TIMES

WASD was incredibly well received by the public and press alike, with many publishers and studios quickly committing to its sophomore outing in 2023, which promises to be even bigger and better. You can bet your bottom dollar that Diva will be front and centre again this year.
